The Lin-gang Special Area national conditions research center was recently established in the Lin-gang Special Area – located in East China's Shanghai city – to advance the area's development.

The research center is expected to conduct research on decision-making consultations, strengthen cooperation on specific subjects and organize practical training in the fields of Lin-gang's history, its industrial structure, artificial intelligence, green consumption and digital management.

It will aim to organize high-level forums and train people, as well as to provide talent and intellectual support for the growth of the area. Efforts are expected to be made to strengthen the area's basic research, promote innovation in theories and systems and support scientific decision-making by providing scientific consultations.

Shanghai Harbour City Development (Group) Co Ltd – one of the construction bodies of the Lin-gang Special Area – and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the opening ceremony. The two plan to give full play to the leading role that the research center will play as a national top think tank.
