The first Mi-171 full-motion level D flight simulator level world was unboxed by Huaxia Yunyi International Education Technology Co Ltd (China Sky-wings) on July 26.

The company, which is engaged in aviation education, aviation vocational training and aviation consumption, among other things, did the unboxing in the Large Aircraft Industrial Park in Shanghai city's Lin-gang Special Area in East China.

The simulator is designed and developed based on technology and know-how from the Mil Design Bureau in Russia and is the only Level D simulator to date to have obtained European Union Aviation Safety Agency, or EASA, certification.

The device comprehensively simulates the experience and feelings of piloting real planes in terms of vision, hearing, touch and movement, with a gamut of complex scenarios available and reproductions of various environments that are encountered in flights.

High-level flight simulators are necessary equipment for the initial training of pilots, their annual refresher courses and examinations. The Mi-171 full-motion flight simulator is said to  fill a domestic gap in flight simulation training equipment.

When put into production, the Mi-171 full-motion flight simulator is expected to provide high quality flight tutorials for local pilots and help improve the safety of China's general aviation.

The simulator will be installed, tested and evaluated and go into operation in August.

The China Sky-Wings flight training center – which will be operating the simulator – is based in the Large Aircraft Industrial Park. It provides efficient flight training for domestic aircraft companies, according to the CCAR-142 regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
