The Lin-gang Special Area Administration and the government of Fengxian district – both located in East China's Shanghai – signed a new round of strategic cooperation agreements on July 18 to boost high-quality development of the two areas.

The two have signed several cooperation agreements before, which played crucial roles in making their objectives clear and promoting regional development.

This new round of agreements will further ensure the implementation of national strategies, fully leverage the impact of policies and help the two sides mutually share the fruits of development.

According to Li Zheng, Party secretary of Fengxian district, cooperating with the Lin-gang Special Area is essential in applying the new development philosophy, and Fengxian district will seize the opportunity to carry out broader exchanges and cooperation with Lin-gang.

Chen Jinshan, director of Lin-gang Special Area Administration, pointed out that Lin-gang Special Area has made fruitful achievements since its establishment, and will continue to intensify its function as a strong and active growth engine for the country's economic development.

"We will not only increase the total economic volume, but also make great efforts to build an international center that is globally influential and competitive," Chen said.

Chen stressed that the development of Lin-gang Special Area depends on the support of Fengxian district. Lin-gang Special Area plans to vigorously support the industrial development of Fengxian district and promote bilateral cooperation in the future.
