100,000 COVID-19 antigen self-test kits arrive in Lin-gang
Listed biomedical in vitro diagnostics company Zhejiang Orient Gene Biotech Co Ltd on March 20 donated 100,000 COVID-19 antigen self-testing kits to the Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai city, where the recent COVID-19 outbreak hit.
The kits, which arrived in Lin-gang on March 21, were the first batch of newly marketed and highly sensitive and responsive antigen self-testing kits to be made widely available.
According to the distribution arrangements, the kits will immediately be allocated to key manufacturers with a large workforce and industry leaders in order to sustain normal production levels.
Orient Gene – based in East China's Zhejiang province – has signed up to build an international research and development innovation center and an in vitro diagnostics or IVD product plant in the Lin-gang Special Area in February.
