The Shanghai bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission on Dec 27 established a leaders group office in the Lin-gang Special Area, Shanghai, in order to provide institutional guarantees for the high-level opening-up and high-quality development of finance in the area.

With the support of the commission's Shanghai bureau, the banking and insurance sector has become an important force in the financial development of Lin-gang.

Moving forwards, the Lin-gang Special Area Administration plans to rely on the office to strengthen regional financial regulatory coordination.

It is expected to promote high-level institutional openness in cross-border finance, offshore finance, technology finance, industrial finance, green finance and other fields, as well as generate more innovative businesses and ventures.
