The Lin-gang Special Area Marine Innovation Park is a dynamic entity, involved in the maritime and intelligent manufacturing industry in Shanghai.

Located in the start-up area of the Lin-gang Special Area, China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the park – which was inaugurated in 2007 – was designed as a core functional zone for the strategic development of the maritime sector in the city of Shanghai, located in East China.

Its aim is to be a "Marine Silicon Valley" with high international influence and competitiveness. Its other goals are to be a first-rate "collaborative development zone for marine science and technology, a cluster for the marine industry, a demonstrative zone for marine science innovation, a commercialization center for marine technology and a cradle for talent in marine science and technology".

The park focuses on the frontier areas of marine science and technology – including offshore equipment, marine resources exploitation and marine biomedicine – and it also covers other emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing.

It operates properties such as the Harbor City High Live Fun Science Park, the Harbour City High Live Fun Equipment Park and the Lin-gang Marine Science Plaza.

A modern community that combines science, technology, talent, information, finance, and the environment is now under development. It is striving to be a new center of attraction for the innovative, clustering and integrated industrial development of the Lin-gang Special Area.
