The new Diamond Park in the Lingang Industrial Area opened its doors for business on Nov 10.

The facility is said to be a core area of the Oriental IC Port – an integrated circuits industrial base situated in the Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area.

Twelve projects – engaged in cutting-edge industrial fields including integrated circuits,  biomedicines and intelligent manufacturing – signed up to locate in Diamond Park on the opening day.

Since starting construction, Diamond Park has attracted many leading concerns, including Alpha Power Solutions and Sansun Semiconductor.

Covering 253.54 mu (about 16.9 hectares), Diamond Park has 11 multi-story factories, four high-rise plants and a support services building.

Designed by German architecture firm GMP, the new park has adopted aluminum plate, glass curtain walls and other materials – making it green, energy-saving, low-carbon and providing environmental protection.
