Edvard Moser, 2014 NobelLaureate in Physiology or Medicine, discussed the major differences between brains and computers, as well as some realistic similarities between them at the WLA Digital Future Panel Session on Nov 2.

"The brain operates probabilistically; the computer applies rules. The hardware is quite different. It would be interesting to see how artificial intelligence learns things differently or similarly than the biological brain, but this is a dialogue that goes both ways.”

"There are many examples of how a judge can use AI as a research tool. However, sometimes to find optimal solutions, one must interpret Information in ways that is not obvious in human mind," Moser added.

Michael Shepard, the winner of the 2019 Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award, said that science has been progressing steadily for a long time. People, government, and industries cannot determine the impact of science. Science should be processed with careful actions.
