A special workstation has been established, designed to guide resident companies in the Lin-gang Special Area, Shanghai on biomedical product registration.

Launched on Oct 27, the new facility in the special area is called the Shanghai Biopharmaceutical Product Registration Guidance Service Lin-gang Special Area Workstation.

The Shanghai Medical Products Administration and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization issued a plan for its construction in July, which was approved on Oct 21.

The Lin-gang workstation, as one of the first batch of 12, was established in the Lingang Fengxian Industrial Park.

The workstation reportedly aims to help industrial parks train professionals on registration guidance and helps to establish and train professional service guidance teams in the parks.

The facility will also provide pre-registration consulting services from the enterprise R&D stage, by boosting guidance services for interested parks and identifying the development requirements of the biomedical industry in the area.

In addition, it will aim to promptly solve any difficulties and bottlenecks encountered by enterprises in medical device product registrations and operations.
