An exhibition called Living on Mars kicked off on Oct 15 in the Shanghai Astronomy Museum in the Lin-gang Special Area, and will run until March 2, 2022.

Taking the future of human life on Mars as its main theme, the exhibition is said to combine science and art – starting from clothing, food, housing and transportation – to enable visitors to immerse themselves in one full day's life on the red planet.

The exhibition is free, after visitors have bought their ticket to the Shanghai Astronomy Museum.

The exhibition culminates in a section on China's most recent space missions. It features full-scale models of the Yutu (Jade Rabbit) lunar rover, the Tianhe (Harmony of the Heavens) core module and the Chang'e-5 spacecraft, along with a 9-milligram lunar sample brought back by the Chang'e-5 mission.
