The Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai held groundbreaking ceremonies for 24 projects on Aug 18 at the Luchaogang Farm environment improvement project main venue – as well as  at nine branch venues – to celebrate the area's second anniversary.

With a total construction area of 3.28 million square meters, the projects will involve total investment of 49.69 billion yuan ($7.66 billion).

The projects cover housing, warehousing and logistics, industry and municipal transportation. There are also social livelihood, commercial projects, environmental projects and other fields – all of which are expected to further accelerate the development of Lin-gang.
