Shanghai Dianji University and Germans launch joint school
The Kaiserlautern Intelligent Manufacturing School of Shanghai Dianji University – co-founded by the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences in Germany and Shanghai Dianji University – was recently officially launched, local media reported.
Located in the Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone – in East China's Shanghai city – the Sino-German joint venture school will appoint top teachers and will introduce a high-quality curriculum and teaching methods from the German side.
The school, whose campus construction has been completed, is offering undergraduate programs – electrical engineering and automation, mechatronics engineering and logistics management – with a limit of 60 students per year for each major.
It will officially start enrolling students in the fall, educating first-rate applied technical talent with international vision in the high-end equipment manufacturing and service sector.
Shanghai Dianji University and Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences first joined forces in establishing a cooperative relationship in 2002. Over the past 20 years, they have forged extensive links and exchanges in research, training staff, teacher development and other areas.
