The South Island of Dishui Lake – the largest artificial fresh-water lake in East China's Shanghai city and in the country - started a major upgrading and reconstruction in April 2020 and was basically completed in October that year, with an integrated style of modern architecture and traditional gardens.
The Dishui Lake multi-functional center, the Xinyuanyaji or apricot garden, the South Island Waterfall and a series of facilities make the South Island a beautiful adventure place for tourists to Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area.
