The service hall of the Lin-gang taxation administration – in the Lin-gang Special Area, located in East China's Shanghai - recently upgraded its hardware and tax service initiatives, to provide a more convenient service for taxpayers.

In the services area, advisors are always on duty to offer specialized consultations, with highly efficient digital equipment on hand to meet various needs.

Conventional telecasts with soundtracks and commentaries have now been replaced by a silent queuing service, which uses messages sent by mobile phones. In addition to the ticket queue, the hall also processes simple measures for businesses. Taxpayers can make appointments and receive results directly, with no need to wait.

Ten automated tax equipment machines have been installed in the new hall. Taxpayers can use functions such as value-added tax invoice certification, receive anti-counterfeiting tax declaration cards, make tax declarations and check value-added tax invoices.

Now, more than 90 percent of tax-related business can be handled by digital taxation administration.

The hall has sets up online service experience areas and is equipped with 32 computers and an "intelligent tutoring desktop" system. It also provides a human service team for taxpayers to teach them in person, improve their awareness of self-service and cultivate their ability to perform online operations.
