Lin-gang enterprises set to shine at global expo
Excitement is reportedly building in the run-up to the eighth China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair, or CSITF, which will be held from April 15 to 17 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
Municipal government officials announced at a news conference on April 6, that the fair aims to showcase the latest innovations and technologies of companies from home and abroad.
This year's fair will for the first time feature an exhibition area for the Lin-gang Special Area - a new section of the free trade zone in Shanghai - to showcase its overall profile and latest scientific and technological achievements.
"A total of 24 enterprises from Lin-gang will show up at the fair this year," said an officer from the finance and trade development department of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration.
He added that the area will present advanced technologies in intelligent manufacturing, marine equipment and financial science and technology.
Xingluo Artificial Intelligence Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd -- an unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer – is an example of the dynamic new companies settling in the area. Its new product, the UltraHive MK5 modular drone charging hangar, will debut at the fair.
The special exhibition area for the Lin-gang Special Area, which is in the first hall of the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, will cover about 160 square meters.
According to a Lin-gang official, a lot of research and consideration went into displaying new techniques and products at the show via the effective use of space.
The 24 enterprises on show there are engaged in the high-tech, marine equipment sector, automobile and financial sectors – underscoring Lin-gang's innovative results to a greater extent.
