The eagerly anticipated annual tulip exhibition staged by Shanghai Flower Port – the large and expansive flower park located in the Nanhui New Town of Lin-gang Special Area - is to open on March 20 and will run until April 20.

The exhibition will present more than 500 varieties of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, anemones and other bulb flowers this year. The rich variety and scale of the tulip displays in Shanghai Flower Port are reportedly not only the best in China, but also on a par with the best in the world.

Visitors need to make online appointments in advance, allowing them to enter the park directly via a verification code in accordance with its optimized ingress and egress procedures, under which methods such as code verifications and temperature measurements are deemed necessary. Though it is an outdoor park, visitors still have to wear masks and maintain a proper distance.

Ticket prices:

Adults: 100 yuan ($ 15.39) per person

Group (more than 30 individuals): 90 yuan per person

Half-price student ticket: 50 yuan per person. (Buyers should have a student card and ID card, be minors over 6 years old but below 18 years old, full-time undergraduates and below.

Preferential tickets for the elderly (with ID card, senior citizen card, etc.):

Price for seniors over 60 years old with ID card: 80 yuan per person

Price for seniors over 70 years old with ID card: 50 yuan per person
