a) Establishing an efficient, smooth external traffic system

Commutes from the Lin-gang Special Area to the Pudong transport hub will be completed within 15 minutes, those to the Longyang Road hub will be within 30 minutes – while those to the Hongqiao transportation hub will be within 60 minutes and commutes to nearby cities in the Yangtze River Delta will be within 90 minutes.

b) Introducing green, convenient local transport

The average travel time on public transport for passengers will be shortened by 25 percent; public transportation will comprise 40 percent of all motorized travel; the coverage rate of bus stops will reach 80 percent; road network density in the core area will reach six kilometers per square kilometer.

c) Developing an intelligent traffic management system

All new buses and taxis in the area will run on clean energy and all newly built bus stops will be operated by intelligent management. Moreover, unmanned driving technology will undertake trial operations and be promoted.
