The Shanghai Lin-gang Xinqiao Emerging Industrial Park opened on Aug 18 with agreements for over 20 international digital economy industrial projects signed, 85 firms registered, and 16 companies operating there.

It is the first park in the Lin-gang Special Area Industrial Technology Innovation Belt and covers an area of about 8.47 hectares. It consists of 23 office buildings with a total floor area of over 200,000 square meters, which are mainly used for research and development firms.

The Lin-gang Special Area Industrial Technology Innovation Belt is located in southern Lin-gang, east of the central park, south of the heavy equipment industrial area, and north of the community service resources area. It consists of waterways, airways, railways, highways, and inland rivers.

The park focuses on emerging and cutting-edge industries such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, new energy vehicles, and equipment manufacturing and plans to build an enterprise technology R&D center and innovation center for related industries.

"Products developed and tested in the park do not need to go far to establish factories, as they can establish them directly in the Lingang Industrial Area," said Li Aming, deputy general manager of Shanghai Lingang Innovation Economic Development Co Ltd.

Xinqiao Emerging Industrial Park is located near the Lingang Industrial Area, which has a solid industrial foundation and has accumulated a number of advanced manufacturing industries such as high-end equipment and new energy vehicles. In addition, the R&D links of Xinqiao Park will form a complete chain including incubation, acceleration, industrialization, and the concentration of core enterprises.

The park is also located near the Lin-gang public rental housing community. All enterprises that are registered, produce, and otherwise operate in Lin-gang can apply for and enjoy high-quality community housing at low cost. Commercial streets and other living facilities are also available around the Xinqiao Emerging Industrial Park.
