GTA Semiconductor's special technology production line in the Lin-gang Special Area of China Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone started operating on June 30.

With an investment of 35.9 billion yuan ($5.1 billion), the factory covers an area of 230,000 square meters.

The factory was identified as a major industrial project in Shanghai, and started construction on August 16, 2018.

GTA Semiconductor focuses on production process development and manufacturing required by analog circuits and power devices. Its chips are widely used in automotive electronics, industrial control, power management, intelligent terminal, and high-end application markets such as rail transit and smart grids.
