The Lin-gang Special Administration signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with Shenergy Group Co Ltd, a State-owned energy supplier, on April 20.

The two sides will work together to build gas and hydrogen energy infrastructure and industries, develop service standards, carry out comprehensive energy projects, and strengthen financial services in Lin-gang Special Area.

According to the agreement, Shenergy Group will develop a clean energy supply system for Lin-gang, build a unified brand of gas services, and construct a network of energy infrastructure.

To further improve the hydrogen energy industry in Lin-gang, Shenergy Lin-gang Hydrogen Science Technology Co Ltd was created, which began constructing a hydro-oil demonstration station known as Pingxiao station in Lin-gang Special Area on the same day. The station is expected to be put into use by 2020.

Shenergy Group, a power company in Shanghai, works to ensure the supply, transformation, upgrading and structural optimization of the city's power and gas resources, as well as meet and adapt to the requirements of green, low-carbon and sustainable development in Shanghai. The group's annual electricity generation accounts for one-third of the city's electricity generation, and its annual gas supply is close to 10 billion cubic meters, accounting for more than 90 percent of the Shanghai market.
