Intelligent manufacturing is developing smoothly in the manufacturing - intensive Lin-gang Special Area.

The management and service departments and R&D teams of the Shanghai intelligent manufacturing R&D and transformation functional platform have returned to work, and the researchers are operating as plans set for 2020.

The intelligent manufacturing R&D and transformation functional platform, one of the first functional platforms in Shanghai, provides general technology R&D and applications, system program testing, commercialization and industrialization services in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

China's first officially authorized Fraunhofer Project Center for Smart Manufacturing at Shanghai Jiao Tong University has also set up operations in Lin-gang Special Area, so as other five industrialization projects.

According to Xi Juntong, general manager of the platform, in order to maintain operations during the epidemic, employees held video teleconferences and carried out R&D through a remote operation and maintenance system.

In addition, the functional platform built an online training platform for the Shanghai Lin-gang intelligent manufacturing training base (including PC and mobile terminals) which integrates online evaluation, question and answer, and classroom cloud notes.

As of April 1, more than 60 online courses have been launched, serving over 30 enterprises in the Lin-gang Special Area, and nearly 50 training classes have been held, training more than 400 people.
