Many local residents have ventured outside to enjoy a sunny weekend in the city's parks and scenic spots in Shanghai, which have reopened for the first time since the novel coronavirus outbreak closed down the city weeks ago.

Although strict measures are still in place to protect staff and visitors, such as limits on the number of visitors and requirements to maintain a distance of at least one meter away from others, many local residents wearing masks decided to bring their families and pets out to enjoy some time outdoors in the spring sunshine.

Many people are visiting Dishui Lake in the Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone to fly kites, walk around, and camp out.
