Explore Lin-gang's natural beauty, culture online
With many people stuck at home with nothing to do amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, the Lin-gang Special Area has launched online tours of its scenic spots, museums, and art galleries.
The Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park and China Maritime Museum opened online services featuring virtual tours of their exhibitions and scenic as well as online courses and consultation services.
Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park recently introduced online courses to teach people about oceans and opened a free online consultation platform for questions related to aquarium fish.
From Feb 14 to 23, Haichang Ocean Park broadcasted live on both Sina Weibo and Douyin, taking netizens on a tour of the park. Videos reviewing the tour are available on the park's official accounts for the two platforms.
An exhibition of maritime intangible cultural heritage items of the Yangtze River Delta, hosted by the China Maritime Museum, opened on Dec 31, 2019, and will run until May 31, 2020.
More than 200 exhibits and over 50 maritime cultural heritage items are currently on display. The museum has been offering online exhibition since Feb 11.
A 360-degree panorama featuring 44 landmarks and 99 scenes in Lin-gang Special Area have been developed to offer visitors an immersive experience while exploring the area's magnificent natural landscapes and rich culture.
