Nanhuizui Park is an important landmark in Lin-gang Special Area. The park, which covers 1.82 hectares, is located in the southeast of the special area and the southeastern point of Shanghai's land area.

The name "Nanhui" comes from the fact that the waters of the Yangtze River join those of Qiantang River after they flow out to sea and then turn south with the sea tide around a large area of land jutting into the sea.

Because the barrier spit goes south into the intersection of the Yangtze River Estuary and Hangzhou Bay, it is called Nanhui Spit, or in Chinese, Nanhuizui.

The iconic sculpture in Nanhuizui Park is Sinan Fish, a double-layer grid structure composed of stainless steel pipes, weighing about 120 tons. It symbolizes reform, opening-up, communication and the great contribution made by the Chinese nation to the development of human navigation.
