This year marks the 48th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belgium. Belgium's Princess Astrid led the largest economic and trade delegation in Belgium's history to visit China, which fully demonstrated the great importance Belgian gives to its relations with China and its good will in promoting the continuous development of friendship between the two countries. Shanghai is the region with the most active economic activities of Belgian enterprises in China.

On the basis of various cooperation projects, the Belgian side made a special trip to visit Lin-gang Special Area, which not only consolidated existing cooperation projects and friendly relations between the two sides, but also further identified more areas for cooperation in the future.
