"Signing is not a goal, but a better starting point," said Ahmed Al-Sayed, Qatar's minister of state and chairman of the board of directors of QFTZ. QFTZ is looking forward to closer cooperation with Lin-gang Special Area, driving more Qatari enterprises to develop in Shanghai, and further opening up the window of China-Qatar business cooperation.

After the signing of the MoU, the two sides will further tap the cooperation potential around cutting-edge technology industries such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, biomedicine and civil aviation. The close cooperation between the two sides will provide an important carrier for the deep integration of the two regions into economic globalization, and will further boost the economic and social development of the two regions.
