Why German enterprises choose Lin-gang Special Area

A project roadshow of Lin-gang Zhangjiang Science and Technology Port was held in Lingang Zhangjiang Entrepreneurship Workshop @ Huanhu 800 on Sept 25.

Lin-gang Zhangjiang Science and Technology Port has attracted a number of outstanding start-ups from Germany.

Lin-gang Special Area Roadshow Center and the Lin-gang Special Area Studio of Shanghai Entrepreneurship Guidance Expert Group were also officially unveiled on the same day.

At the welcome ceremony, Wu Xiaohua, deputy director of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lin-gang Special Area Administration, said that since the establishment of Lin-gang Development Headquarters of Zhangjiang Group in August 2013, a number of high-quality enterprises have been introduced, which has injected technological innovation vitality into the special area.

"The core role for Lin-gang Special Area is to support the development of the industrial parks in the area, create a good business environment and promote scientific and technological innovation. Lin-gang Special Area Administration will, as always, support the development of enterprises, and strive to build a better business environment."

Gu Changshi, the chief planner of Lin-gang Special Area Administration, gave a detailed introduction to Talents Policies and Business Environment of Lin-gang Special Area. He pointed out that the establishment of Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone was not a simple expansion of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and simple copy of the existing policies, but a deeper, broader and more vigorous all-round and high-level opening-up. The goal is not to create a regional development plan, but to build an important platform for China to integrate into international cooperation and competition.

Twelve German representatives introduced their projects and answered questions raised by the judges at the roadshow. Most of these enterprises are in artificial intelligence, robots and big data, which conformed to the industrial orientation in Lin-gang Special Area and Zhangjiang Science and Technology Port.

Yehoshua, the business director of Letos, said that their hardware products could monitor in real time the emotional, physical and psychological state of the driver. Letos could provide support to enterprises in the automobile industry to better guarantee driving safety.

Holger Dornieden, chief marketing officer of LexaTexer, gave details an attractive project in which his company's products can analyze structured and unstructured information through machine learning technology, provide forecasting analysis for enterprises and help enterprises in decision-making, including abnormal detection, market intelligence, risk management, sales and demand forecasting, and monitoring of production quality.

In the negotiation rooms, the activity of Face-to-face Communication of China-Germen Projects was carried out. German delegates, entrepreneurship guidance experts and Chinese project delegates discussed ideas and possible projects.

The German project delegation also paid a visit to Lin-gang Special Area, including its administrative service center, its exhibition hall, Zhangjiang Science and Technology Port, its talents apartments.
