Lin-gang Special Area held a signing ceremony for strategic cooperation in constructing the Land, Sea and Air Vehicles Unmanned System Platform at the Automatic Driving Summit of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai on Aug 30, 2019.

The contract parties are Beijing Institute of Technology, Shanghai Lin-gang Intelligent Connected Vehicle Research Center Co Ltd, East Branch of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Shanghai Lin-gang Science and Technology Innovation City Economic Development Co Ltd.

In May 2018, the construction project of the first State-level comprehensive demonstration area of land, sea, and air vehicles unmanned system was launched in Lin-gang Special Area, which provides a supporting environment for the development of AI enterprises.

The construction of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Integrative Testing Demonstration Zone is in the final stage. The construction of Dishui Lake Unmanned Ship Testing Field and Low-altitude Navigable Flight Airspace is speeding up.

The Land, Sea and Air Vehicles Unmanned System Platform in Lin-gang Special Area will give full play to the advantages of the four contract parties in new energy vehicles, vehicle networking technology, unmanned driving technology and data requisition. The parties will launch comprehensive cooperation in the fields of unmanned vehicles, ships and flights.

The platform will provide services for the formulation of technology standards and industry incubation, empower the advanced manufacturing industry involving land, sea and air unmanned systems, advance industrial upgrade of vehicles, ships and flights, and strive to promote the coordinated development of land, sea and air unmanned system industry and cross-border integration of technologies in China.
