In 1992, Yu Xiuying first set foot in the Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone, and was greeted by a landscape of barren land. Dust filled the air as cars passed by, and there were no skyscrapers, shopping centers, or cinemas. Her only leisure activity was enjoying the sea view.
Thirty-two years later, Yu Xiuying is now the general manager of JTEKT Bearings (Dalian) Co Ltd. She has grown with the Zone. Over the past three decades, she has started her family, and now owns a car and a home here.
JTEKT Bearings (Dalian) Co Ltd is a wholly-owned Japanese enterprise, established in 1994 in the Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone. Initially focused on the production of fan motor bearings, it has continuously expanded its production range and now manufactures nearly a thousand types of bearings for automobiles, home appliances, and machine tools.
On January 1, 2021, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) officially came into effect. With guidance from the administrative committee of Dalian Jinpu New Area and Dalian Customs, the company obtained Approved Exporter Certification in just 19 days, unlocking significant opportunities for capturing the international market share.
Yu Xiuying noted that the rapid development of the company is closely linked to the local government's efforts. The government rolled out practical measures to address challenges faced by businesses, which has further strengthened the company's confidence in staying and investing in Dalian.
Over the past 32 years, Yu Xiuying has grown from an ordinary worker to a general manager. She attributes her career success to her strong sense of responsibility, perseverance, and dedication. In her interactions with others, she prioritizes sincerity. In enterprise management, she advocates for empathy, teamwork, and always maintaining a sense of crises.
