Jinpu New Area in Northeast China's city of Dalian has experienced a remarkable surge in new business activity, welcoming 3,422 new business entities in June alone, which represents an 18.53 percent year-on-year increase.
In the first half of this year, the total number of new businesses entities reached 17,259, reflecting a 9.03 percent year-on-year growth, according to data from the market supervision bureau in Jinpu.
In the first six months of the year, Jinpu saw the establishment of 9,650 self-employed households, a 14.5 percent increase on the previous year. Additionally, 7,609 new enterprises of various types were established, representing a 3.02 percent year-on-year rise. Among these, 7,540 were domestic enterprises, up 3.25 percent year-on-year, while 69 were foreign-funded enterprises, showing a substantial 16.87 percent increase.
In the primary industry, 1,058 new business entities were added, reflecting a 69.01 percent year-on-year increase. The secondary industry saw the addition of 1,227 new business entities, representing an 11.85 percent year-on-year rise. In the tertiary industry, 14,974 new business entities were established, marking a 6.15 percent year-on-year growth.
As of June, Jinpu boasted a total of 247,879 business entities, a 5.05 percent increase on the previous year. These entities constitute 25.05 percent of the total in Dalian.
This impressive growth highlights Jinpu's thriving economic environment and its appeal as a hub for both domestic and foreign enterprises.
