The China-Europe Railway Express recently arrived at the Dalian Railway Container Center Station loaded with fifty 40-foot containers, of which 20 will be transported to Shimizu prefecture of Japan via the "Dalian-Japan" near-sea shipping line of Dalian SITC. This marks the first time Liaoning Port Group has opened a transit line of containers from Europe to Japan via Dalian port.
The tailor-made transit route of "China-Europe Railway Express + near-sea shipping line" starts from Warsaw, Poland, and enters China via Manzhouli port. The railroad transport, about 9,800 km, takes 15 days. The remaining sea voyage takes another two days. The whole shipping takes 17 days, merely a third of the traditional transportation by sea route.
