Dalian Jinpu New Area recently signed a deal with Amer International Group to build a third-generation semiconductor industry base with GaN as the core in the new area.
The base will feature a 5G new materials industry base using copper as raw material. The New Area will also draw on its proximity to ports to build a trading platform for metals and new materials commodities and construct an industrial and trade clustering base.
Amer International Group is a high-tech industrial enterprise that deals with new electronic information and new materials. Founded in Shenzhen city, South China's Guangdong province, it is one of the world's leading new metallic materials producers.
The total investment of this strategic cooperation is about 30 billion yuan ($4.63 billion) and the annual revenues will reach 40 to 50 billion yuan, which will significantly promote the development of the semiconductor and new materials industry in Jinpu New Area.
The new area has formed five industrial clusters focused on petrochemical engineering. The semiconductor industry is a strategic emerging industry.
Both sides will exert their strengths in all-round cooperation in semiconductors, new materials and logistics.
