The "Winter Bloom" experience wrapped up on Jan 5, 2026, at Xuanwu Lake Park and Gulin Park, marking the end of Nanjing's 2025 "Taking Nanjing Metro, Strolling in Nanjing City, and Taking Photos of Nanjing Scenery" program for international friends.

The yearlong series featured four seasonal events — Spring Green, Summer Ripple, Autumn Maple and Winter Bloom — inviting international participants to discover the city through everyday travel and photography.

Over 100 international friends from over 30 countries and regions, including Pakistan and Morocco, participated, many of whom are students at local universities such as Southeast University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China Pharmaceutical University, and Nanjing Medical University.

Traveling by metro, participants explored parks, landmarks and neighborhood streets, explored Nanjing's evolving seasons and cityscape with their cameras. The activities offered a close-up look at the city's modern development while highlighting its natural scenery and cultural heritage.

Organized by the Nanjing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries together with its Jiangning district branch, the program aimed to help foreign residents better understand the city and share their experiences with the world from a personal perspective.

Following the conclusion of the events, participants will be invited to submit photos and short videos that capture Nanjing's scenic beauty, rich history, efficient public transportation, rapid urban growth, dynamic economy and diverse everyday life. Outstanding works will be selected for exhibition and awards.
