In collaboration with the Overseas Education College, the School of Foreign Languages at Jiangsu University recently organized an immersive cultural exchange activity at Jiangsu Tea Exposition Park in Jurong, Zhenjiang.

During the visit, students from the School of Foreign Languages acted as cultural ambassadors, using their language expertise to provide on-site interpretation for international students. Tour guides at the park introduced various tea tree species, their growth habits, and the park's development history.

In a session on tea fundamentals, experts explained the characteristics, production techniques, and benefits of green tea, black tea, oolong tea, and more. Chinese students facilitated comprehension by translating the information into accessible language for international students.

The event's highlight was a hands-on tea brewing and tea art experience. Dressed in traditional attire, tea masters demonstrated the intricate process, from warming the teacup and adding tea leaves to pouring hot water and serving the tea, showcasing the elegance of Chinese tea culture.

A student from Azerbaijan said: "This event was eye-opening! The Chinese schoolmates provided excellent translations, and I learned how to brew tea and gained insight into the deep cultural significance behind Chinese tea. It was an amazing experience, and I can't wait to share it with my friends."

This cultural exchange not only deepened international students' appreciation of Chinese tea culture but also enhanced the practical language and cross-cultural communication skills of students from the School of Foreign Languages.
