A group of 22 students and teachers from Ransom Everglades School in Miami, the United States, visited Jiangyan High School for a cultural exchange program on Feb 19. The event served as a bridge of friendship between the two schools, sparking vibrant cultural interactions on campus.

Led by Wang Hongxiang, a master of Taizhou dough figurine craftsmanship, the students had the opportunity to try their hand at this traditional art. They created lifelike dough figurines of adorable white rabbits through kneading and shaping.

Another highlight of the exchange was the performance of the “Gun Lian Xiang” traditional dance, a Jiangsu provincial intangible cultural heritage item of Jiangyan. A group of young performers dressed in colorful costumes skillfully twirled lotus-shaped sticks in a graceful yet rhythmic display. Enthralled by the lively atmosphere, American and Chinese students eagerly joined in, learning the basic movements of the dance.

The students also took part in interactive games that promoted teamwork and cooperation, sparking laughter and strengthening the bonds between all the participants.
