Intl students express love for Jiangsu via videos, photos, articles

More than 40 international students from over 40 universities in Jiangsu gathered in Wuxi city on Nov 1 to attend the award ceremony for competitions in short video, photography, and writing.

The competition received over 700 submissions from overseas students. After evaluation, 78 outstanding works were selected, including three first prizes, 15 second prizes, 60 third prizes, 10 awards for excellent organization, and 10 for outstanding guidance teachers.

These works display the overseas students' observations and experiences of studying and living in Jiangsu, showcasing their genuine perceptions of Jiangsu and China's modernization.

The article by Yap Zun Jie, a Malaysian student from Jiangnan University, won the first prize. Drawing on his participation in multiple "Understanding China, Sensing Wuxi" events, he narrated the daily experiences of overseas students in China, highlighting their unique understanding of Chinese traditional culture and expressing their fondness for the customs, economy, and culture of China.

An international student from Iraq studying at Changzhou University, whose Chinese name is Li Hao, said, "It is because of the war that I can feel more about the peace and love in China. In the future, I will continue to travel around various places in Jiangsu, see with my own eyes, and use my camera to capture the real and beautiful stories of China so that more people can better understand Chinese culture and get to know the real China."
