International students celebrate World Tourism Day in Nantong with cultural exchange activities
On Sept 27, a special cultural exchange event for World Tourism Day took place in Chongchuan district, Nantong, which saw more than 10 international students from countries including Indonesia, Pakistan, and Morocco participating in a series of activities designed to showcase the rich traditions of Chinese culture.

The event kicked off with a scenic cycling tour, offering stunning views of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge. Young volunteers explained the structure and significance of the world's first road-rail bridge with a span exceeding one kilometer, leaving a lasting impression on the international visitors.

The final stop on the cycling tour was Bailong Lake Park, where students were treated to a series of captivating performances showcasing local intangible cultural heritage, including the Lu Family Drums, dragon dancing, and the traditional Tiansheng Port fishermen's songs. They also had the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiences such as diabolo spinning, dragon dancing, tie-dyeing, and sugar painting.

The day ended with a tasting of local delicacies, providing the students with a deeper appreciation of the unique charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage.
