Exchange camp for US college students kicks off in Jiangsu

The Collegiate Immersion Bootcamp for US-Based Institutions to Jiangsu, organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and Duke Kunshan University, opened in Kunshan, Suzhou on Aug 3.
Over the following seven days, students and teachers from eight US universities, including Duke University, Brigham Young University, and Columbia University, will participate in a series of engaging activities across cities like Suzhou, Wuxi, and Nanjing.

The exchange program also includes discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, green and low-carbon initiatives, and urban renewal, aiming to foster meaningful dialogue and cultural exchange between the participating US students and their Chinese counterparts.
Xie Feng, Chinese ambassador to the United States, said in a video address that young people embody the deep-rooted friendship between China and the US and represent the future vitality of bilateral relations. He welcomed the students to experience China's development, innovation, and societal progress during the camp.
Leonardo Williams, mayor of Durham, North Carolina, also delivered a video message, highlighting the students' roles as representatives of top global universities and vital drivers of city and global development. He encouraged the students to make the most of this opportunity to experience the rich culture of China.
