NUA's international summer camp bridges cultures

Nanjing University of the Arts hosted an international summer camp from June 26 to July 9. The camp aimed to integrate Chinese language learning with art workshops and museum visits, attracting 57 students and teachers from Egypt, Russia, and South Korea.

During the camp, participants explored Chinese characters through art and calligraphy. They also visited the Nanjing City Wall Museum and Nanjing Yunjin Brocade Museum, enriching their understanding of Chinese culture.

In addition to Nanjing, students visited cities including Suzhou and Shanghai to experience local culture and art. They visited a museum on Zhao Yafu in Zhenjiang to learn about targeted poverty alleviation and rural vitalization efforts. At Suzhou Museum and a woodblock painting workshop, students engaged in Chinese traditional arts and crafts.

A highlight of the camp was an art exhibition showcasing creative works and posters featuring Chinese characters and patterns created by the students.

During the closing ceremony, Russian students created a poster together as a gift for the Nanjing University of the Arts, symbolizing their appreciation and cultural exchange during the camp.
