To celebrate the 2024 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges, Nantong College of Science and Technology hosted a singing competition for ASEAN international students on April 28. An audience of nearly 350 students watched the event.

Thirteen participants delivered exceptional performances of Chinese songs and recitations. Chinese students also contributed to the event by reciting two poems, while a Laotian student showcased a traditional dance. The highlight of the competition was the recitation of I Love You, China and the rendition of Xiang Ni De Ye (Missing You Tonight) performed by Indonesian students, both of which won first prizes.

Nantong has always placed great importance on its exchange and cooperation with ASEAN countries. Several local vocational colleges have enrolled nearly a thousand students from ASEAN countries, such as Indonesia, Laos, and Vietnam, and have carried out various collaborative education programs.
