EduHacks 2023 concludes with Southeast University team as winner

The finale of EduHacks 2023, a global hackathon for college students, concluded at Nanhang Jincheng College in Nanjing, Jiangsu on Jan 7.
The event, co-hosted by the college and HackHub, commenced registration in October and attracted 2,800 students from prestigious institutions worldwide, including Fudan University, Southeast University, the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, and the University of Washington. A total of 615 projects were submitted.

Four finalists engaged in an online showdown during the final. The team from Southeast University clinched the top honor with its omnidirectional treadmill project, earning a cash award of 30,000 yuan ($4,197). The other three teams, one from Northwestern Polytechnical University and two from the University of Washington, were each awarded 10,000 yuan.
Tan Jianrong, head of the competition's expert panel and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, commended Nanhang Jincheng College, which was jointly established by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and social forces, for hosting such an important and prestigious international event. He highlighted the college's academic quality and efficient management.
Tan also expressed confidence that the platform provided by the competition would help more young minds reach their full potential in innovation.
