The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education held a news conference to discuss the newly released guideline on promoting digitalization in university teaching on Jan 16.

The guideline stated six major tasks, which include integrating information technology with teaching, improving students' digital learning ability, expanding digital teaching resources, and strengthening support services.

It also proposed taking a series of measures, such as setting up an expert committee, offering additional funds, as well as building a platform that involves multiple parties including the government, universities, and enterprises.

Yang Shubing, deputy director of the department, said they have been actively using digital technology to bolster the high-quality development of Jiangsu's higher education and have already made significant progress.
