Several students majoring in e-commerce at the School of Management of Yangzhou Polytechnic College in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province provided technical support to the live-streaming sessions about Yangzhou embroidery and paper cutting held on Nov 19 and 20.

The livestream on Nov 19 featured 153 precious artifacts and more than 1,000 creative cultural products related to embroidery and paper cutting, both of which are intangible cultural heritages. The livestream was viewed by 62,000 people.

Students from the Yangzhou Polytechnic College helped make plans as well as prepare products and equipment before the livestreaming session. They also worked with artisans to introduce cultural products and answer viewers' questions during the session.

The event, which leveraged e-commerce to promote intangible cultural heritage in Yangzhou, was aimed at bolstering the development of the city's creative cultural industry and generating economic benefits, said a director from the college's School of Management.
