Several international students from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, which took place on Sept 10 this year, with the elderly living alone at the Jiaye community in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province on Sept 9.

The student volunteers, who are from countries including Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe, made moon cakes and moon-shaped lanterns with the residents during the activity.

Jiaye community has worked with the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to hold about 20 activities to build an international community.
