University students in East China's Jiangsu province graduated in on-site and virtual ceremonies, local media reported on June 27.

The Nanjing University of Astronautics and Aeronautics Class of 2020 bade farewell to their alma mater via a live-streamed commencement on June 24, drawing attracting over 100,000 online viewers.

A graduate from Hubei province said goodbye to Jiangsu Ocean University via a short video, thanking his tutor who mailed learning materials to him during the epidemic and provided him with professional guidance.

Students from Nanjing Agricultural University received a phone call from a graduate, who told them to stay safe amid epidemic and prepare for new challenges.

Graduates of Nanjing Agricultural University received a 30-yuan ($4.3) meal coupon from the school.

Nanjing University of Finance and Economics prepared gift packages with an academic gown, a bookmark with the school motto, a meal coupon, and an alumni badge for its Class of 2020.

"The gown represents tudents’ academic achievements and we encourage them to return to the school to take their graduation photos," said Sun Danbing, director of the school's student affairs department.

Graduates of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology were moved by Zhou Kai, a security personnel who has been working on the frontlines with his support crew amid the outbreak of COVID-19 to ensure that the school can run properly

Jiangsu University invited Zhao Yanyan, a doctor at the school's affiliated hospital who supported medical work in Wuhan for 52 days, to share her experiences from that time. She also encouraged graduates to work to overcome challenges and be responsible.
