Every spring and summer marks the exchange season for students and teachers from the Jiangsu-based Haizhou Senior High School and the Netherlands-based Cals College visiting each other.

As a tradition between the two schools since 2016, this year's season began with a group of 23 Dutch students and teachers setting foot on a 5-day visit to the Jiangsu campus on April 17 and immersing themselves in various Chinese cultural activities.

They tried their hands at using their brushes to depict the characters of "China" and "the Netherlands", rivaled for football skills with their Chinese partners, and tasted their own hand-made dumplings.

They were impressed by the school's complete facilities, such as the aquarium and physics laboratories which freed students' curiosity and digging of knowledge, and the school library which was ambient with an encouraging atmosphere to study.

The Chinese group will start their visit to the Netherlands this September.
