Jiangsu university enhances Portuguese connections

A delegation of officials from three higher learning institutions based in Portuguese-speaking countries visited Yangzhou University (YZU), Jiangsu province, Oct 29.
Jiao Xin'an, vice president of YZU, extended a warm welcome to the delegates, who came from the University of Zambeze in Mozambique and the University of Evora and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal.
He looked forward to Jiangsu, Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries forging closer ties as a joint conference concerning the educational cooperation among the three sides concluded in Macao the other day.
The delegates also shared their expectations to work together on more diversified fields with YZU.
A cooperative agreement was signed between Jiao Xin'an and Nobre Roque dos Santos, representing YZU and the University of Zambeze in Mozambique.
In the recent years, YZU has conducted fruitful results in international education, not only on becoming a popular hub for foreign students, but also on carrying out frequent student and faculty exchanges with global partners.
