The third Nanjing Normal University (NNU) Youth Summit was held at its Suiyuan campus on May 16, bringing together 200 Chinese and international students.
Showcasing the cultures and customs of two different countries each year, the event this year presented a variety of French and Indonesian performances, including an Indonesian dance remix and a baguette baking contest, along with a display of traditional Chinese costumes.
The event also honored previous summits that featured Thai, Turkish, Russian and Laotian cultures.
A chorus of Chinese and foreign students sang the school's anthem, strengthening their bonds and mutual understanding.
Tian Lifeng, vice-president of NNU, expressed his best wishes to the students as they prepare to join the school's overseas volunteer teams and begin their journey teaching and sharing Chinese language and culture in Thailand and the Philippines.
NNU has consistently strived to develop its international education programs. The school admits some 1,400 students from more than 100 countries and regions every year.
