New year orchestra concert enchants Zhangjiagang residents

A spectacular New Year orchestra concert was recently staged in Zhangjiagang Poly Grand Theater offering local residents a special audio-visual feast.
The performers were not professional musicians, but rather they were students and teachers from Nanfeng primary school.
More than 200 students and teachers performed a series of renowned works across China, featuring chorus, symphony, and folk music.
Themed "Chasing Dream, Starry Sky", the concert aims to send unique "New Year's greetings" to audiences in Zhangjiagang. Since 2015, Nanfeng primary school Yonglian district introduced elegant art music course and set up Yonglian Hefeng Orchestra. 124 students took part in the learning of orchestra music. The school also invited 11 professional teachers to guide them every Thursday.
The orchestra team has performed 13 grand concerts in Zhangjiagang since it was founded and won the first prize in Zhangjiagang student instrumental music competition.
The foundation of Yonglian Hefeng Orchestra Team can promote artistic education in Nanfeng primary school.
