Overseas students from Jiangsu-based Jiangnan University (JNU) regarded their recent lecture on legal education as very enlightening.
Officers Liu Bochen and Li Xingjian from the entry and exit administration department of local public security bureau introduced the students to some basic laws and regulations in China.
Their case studies, which explained in simple but detailed reasons for several types of punishment and penalty, raised great interest among the students.
During the Q&A session held after the lecture, the students raised many questions which urged officer Liu Bochen to share more about his experiences when volunteering as a UN peacekeeping police.
The lecture was held in accordance with JNU’s growing popularity among overseas students. The number of reading foreigners has reached a new high as the school attracted a new group of some 300 students from 59 countries and regions this September.
The school always puts emphasis on campus safety and attaches great importance to foreigners’ safety education. The lecture is an effective way to enhance their safety awareness and helps in making their living and studying at JNU safer and freer.
